Overall Responsibilities:
- Development of performance-critical .NET Core components in collaboration with senior technical leadership.
- Understand complex C++ components and contribute to their transformation into .NET Core.
- Contribute to maintenance activities as required.
- Write automated unit tests and contribute to the CI/CD migration of the application.
- Show a steep learning curve to understand application flows and independently work in the scrum.
- Perform code reviews and technically guide junior developers.
- Learn about the product and all parts of the system at the code level.
- Contribute to 3rd line support, including support from home as part of a global rotational system.
- Take on tasks independently and own them across all stages of the SDLC.
Software Requirements:
- High level of comfort and expertise in .NET Core.
- Good knowledge of RDBMS / SQL.
- Experience with automated unit testing and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Understanding of RESTful web services.
- Experience with C++, TypeScript, and IBM MQ is a plus.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
- .NET Core Development: High level of expertise in .NET Core development.
- C++ Understanding: Ability to understand and transform complex C++ components.
- Database Management: Good knowledge of RDBMS / SQL.
- Unit Testing & CI/CD: Proficiency in writing automated unit tests and contributing to CI/CD.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile team practices and processes.
- Additional Technologies: Experience with TypeScript and IBM MQ is beneficial.
Experience:
- 7+ years of work experience in IT application development using C#.NET.
- At least 3+ years of work experience in IT application development using .NET Core.
- Proven track record of developing performance-critical components and guiding junior developers.
- Experience in investigating issues and providing solutions.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop and maintain .NET Core components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Debug and fix technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in .NET Core and related technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Perform 3rd line support, including rotational support tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in .NET Core and related technologies are a plus.
