Overall Responsibilities:
Sr. Node.js Developer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the development and implementation of Node-based applications and solutions. They will lead a team of developers and work closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Software Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Node.js and its related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and CouchDB.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Good understanding of RESTful API design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Technical Skills (Category-wise):
Backend Development:
- Proficiency in Node.js.
- Experience with Express.js or other Node.js frameworks.
Frontend Development:
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
Database Management:
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and CouchDB.
- Familiarity with SQL databases is a plus.
API Development:
- Good understanding of RESTful API design.
- Experience with API integration and development.
Development Methodologies:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Node.js.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams of developers.
- Experience working on large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Leading and mentoring a team of developers.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of Node-based applications and solutions.
- Communicating with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Node.js and related technologies.
- Identifying and addressing technical and project risks.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions.
Qualification:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Node.js is a plus.
