Senior PCB Layout Engineer

The candidate should have overall experience of 10+ years with most of this experience in PCB layout and will be an individual contributor. He/She shall have the ability to

· Should be able to understand Schematic Design, BOM, Mechanical, RF and Antenna design requirements

· Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power of printed circuit boards (PCB)

· Library creation and maintenance

· Work on PCB layout design, Schematics review, Symbol, Foot-print creation, Gerber generation for multi-layer PCBs

· Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs and Stencils

· Work closely with PCB fabrication firms for quotation, QC, Negotiation, PCB material requirements

· Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to continually improve design rules, constraints and design for test and manufacture guidelines

· Utilize PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use tools

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Must have strong knowledge of Allegro PCB layout design tool
• Should have experience with Multilayer PCB layout design, high-speed impedance-controlled PCB designs
• Familiarity with modern passive and active electronics components, surface-mount, RF components, ball-grid array and similar fine pitch, or high pin density components
• Experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management
• Should have experience in stack up analysis, DFM analysis, DFT analysis, DFA analysis, SI concepts
• Should have experience in Footprint creation, Schematic symbol creation and QC
• Should basic understanding of the following interfaces- Ethernet (MII, RGMII, SGMII) , DDR3/4,NAND, NOR ,SPI, I2C & UART, Surge Protection
• Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital designs, high-speed buses, FPGA, DRAM and CPU designs, power supplies, DC-DC converters, transmission lines, impedance-controlled traces and power traces
• Experience in Power Supply, RF and Antenna PCB design experience
• Experience in designing PCB layout to be compliant with EMC guidelines
• Experience in generating the PCB layout, Gerbers in various formats
• Experience in understanding the thermal design aspects, Mechanical design requirements
• PCB design as per IPC standard, defining the quality criteria for PCB material, surface finish
• Experience in working with PCB fabrication house, understanding the quality criteria, Cost analysis
• Expertise in a schematic capture tools such as Cadence Allegro Design Entry
• Experience in PCB price negotiations, Quotation, QC check process
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Experience with scripting and automation a plus
• Ability to visualize component placement and interconnectivity




• Qualification
• B.Tech/B.E in Electrical communication or related field from reputed institutions.
