Role & Responsibilities:
● As a DevOps Engineer, you will be primarily responsible
○ Setting up the infrastructure from scratch in GCP
○ Implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions in the public cloud, especially in GCP
○ Implementing application solutions in the GCP cloud.
○ Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the DevOps space.
○ Enhance and drive automation and "Infrastructure as Code" delivery
● Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and reduce hosting cost
● Work closely with the Product Owner, Platform Team, Solution Architects, and development teams for continuous improvement
● Deliver cloud projects in an Agile environment
● Participating in technical discussions with existing & potential clients and internal teams,
● Participate in research and development to deliver complex cloud-native solutions or on-premises
● Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues, and develop tools/systems for task automation
● BAU Support as needed for critical and escalated issues
● Responsible for managing and upgrading DevOps toolsets.
● Maintaining 100% automation coverage of core Insight build and deployment using cloud-native services and containers
Preferred skills/tools:
● Solid experience in setting up infrastructure and implementing complex DevOps solutions from scratch
● Experience with GCP cloud and implementing services with Terraform
● Solid experience in Github and Github actions
● Good experience in creating and managing GKE workload with helm
● Good understanding of GCP networking Shared VPC, peering, VPN
● A good AWS DevOps development background(Route53, S3, RDS, Beanstalk, codepipeline, Lambda, IAM)
● Certification Preferred in GCP
● Strong understanding of how to secure GCP environments and meet compliance requirements
● A solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
● Good to have experience with Jenkins, ELK, and AWS cloud
● Good to have experience on ArgoCD, monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana
● Good to have experience in migration
Behavioral Skills:
● Effective communication- Keeping various audiences in mind, the engineer must write their reports in clear language accessible to all
● Must also have the ability to interact with other members of the team (Juniors, Seniors, leads, clients) to get their designs from concept to development
● Bring independent thought process and propose improvements
