About the Role:
Join our dynamic Data & Analytics team as a Power BI Developer/Architect. This crucial role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Power BI platform.
Experience: 5–8 Years (with Minimum 4 Years of Direct Power BI Experience)
Your Key Contributions:
As the Power BI Developer/Architect, you will:
Design & Develop: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of robust and visually compelling Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
Data Architecture: Architect, optimize, and manage complex datasets and data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, etc.).
Performance Tuning: Utilize advanced techniques, including DAX and query optimization, to ensure fast and scalable report performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions.
Governance & Administration: Oversee the administration of the Power BI Service (gateways, workspaces, security, and deployment pipelines) and ensure adherence to best practices, governance, and security protocols (Row-Level Security/RLS).
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts on Power BI development standards and data visualization best practices.
- Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience (4+ years) developing, deploying, and managing solutions within the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem (Power BI Desktop and Service).
- Expert proficiency in DAX for creating complex measures, calculated columns, and tables.
- Strong SQL expertise for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning of underlying data sources.
- Proven ability to design and implement data models (star/snowflake schema) that support high-performance reporting.
- Experience with Power Query/M-language for advanced data transformation and cleansing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
- Power BI AI Capabilities: Familiarity with Power BI’s AI features such as Key Influencers, Smart Narratives, Q&A (natural language queries), Anomaly Detection, and Cognitive Services integration to drive advanced analytics and insights.
- Knowledge of Other BI Tools: Hands-on experience with Tableau or Looker (LookML) development.
- CRM Analytics (CRMA): Prior exposure to Salesforce CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM/Einstein Analytics).
- Scripting: Knowledge of Python or R for data preparation or visualization within the BI tool.
