You will join a distributed and diverse team of designers supported by leadership and subject matter experts, as well as design and research peers with whom you can collaborate and share feedback. You will also be part of a product team that includes Product Management and Engineering counterparts, and will have direct ownership and impact throughout the product development lifecycle. We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Product Experience team to design Reference Applications. The designer should be a team player and work closely with engineers and product managers to solve complex problems. This role requires creativity, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of UX/UI methodologies.

You will:
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineers, prioritizing features and improvements, facilitating design discussions, and exchanging feedback.

  • Build a deep understanding of your core customers and end-users.

  • Develop comprehensive design solutions for reference applications that application developers will use to learn about Auth0 capabilities and bootstrap their own applications.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with the platform's capabilities and best practices.

  • Develop and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all reference applications.

  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards and align with the company's brand guidelines.

  • Work with the Research team and obtain the necessary support to conduct research and communicate insights to help the team understand customer problems.

  • Transform challenging workflows into simple, usable, and elegant experiences for developers.

  • Share work early and often and seek constructive feedback from peers, product teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Iterate solutions based on direct and indirect stakeholder feedback.

  • Work with designers on other product teams to ensure consistency, improve quality, and contribute to our team processes and principles.

  • Produce clear and comprehensive design documentation to support development and facilitate communication across teams.

  • Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in the identity space.

You might be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • An advanced understanding of UI/UX/Visual design concepts and an exceptional eye for detail with a portfolio that showcases this understanding.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably working with developer tools, visual design, and UX/UI.
  • Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively collaborate and design state-of-the-art reference applications.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar.

  • Experience building enterprise products (B2B), ideally designing products for developers.

  • Experience defining consistent UX patterns to improve the overall user experience, look, and feel.

  • Worked on a robust and comprehensive design system, and know when to break out and create new extensible patterns.

  • Understand systems thinking and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors.

  • Familiarity with component-based design.

  • Distilled complex problems into precise, simple, and delightful solutions.

  • Proficiency in user and customer research: developing a research plan, interviewing or conducting usability testing with users, analyzing feedback, and reporting research findings.

  • Experience working in a remote environment.
