Position Overview: As a Senior Data QA/SDET Engineer at Lyric, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our core data products. You will be responsible for managing both manual and automation QA processes, with a strong focus on SQL and ETL testing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies for complex data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation and verification.

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline QA processes.

• Conduct thorough SQL queries and ETL testing to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure alignment with QA objectives.

• Identify, investigate, and document defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices for data testing and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and software development.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis.

• Hands-on experience with ETL testing tools and methodologies.

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working in an agile development environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
