Senior Quantexa Data Engineer (Big Data and ETL)
Position Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Quantexa Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and data quality within the Quantexa platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver insights and support the platform's performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) structured and unstructured data into the Quantexa platform.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
- Configure and customize the Quantexa platform to meet specific business needs, including the creation of entity resolution, graph analysis, and data enrichment workflows.
- Implement scoring models, rules, and algorithms to detect patterns, anomalies, and potential fraud.
- Monitor and tune Quantexa processes for high performance and scalability.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver insights.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for the Quantexa platform, ensuring uptime and reliability.
Technical Skills:
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Python).
- Strong experience with ETL pipelines and data integration tools.
- Solid understanding of graph databases and concepts like entity resolution and network analysis.
- Familiarity with Quantexa platform features and configuration is a strong plus.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify relationships, and generate actionable insights.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial crime prevention, fraud detection, or anti-money laundering (AML) use cases.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies and ETL pipelines.
- Experience with the Quantexa platform or similar data analytics platforms is a plus.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop, test, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy and consistency across various data sources.
- Customize and configure the Quantexa platform to meet business needs.
- Implement and optimize scoring models, rules, and algorithms for data analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion and platform performance.
- Ensure the reliability and uptime of the Quantexa platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in big data technologies, cloud platforms, or Quantexa platform are a plus.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
