Job Title:Senior Research Assistant

Summary:Responsible for development of silicone hardcoat products, formulations as part of NPI development to enhance functional coating performance

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop new polymers, formulations, and optimize existing product based on the customers’ performance and quality requirement (CTQs) and conduct basic analytical characterization of coating prototypes
  • Analyse, characterize raw materials and formulated samples, interprets experimental data for structure-property relation to advancement of technology
  • Strong execution skills, work on multiple projects with stakeholders in alignment with project timelines to provide technical solutions
  • Work effectively with diverse teams on multiple projects and collaborate well other functions such as analytical, process tech and IP teams
  • Conduct scientific papers and patents search to understand technology field to understand technology landscape
  • Summarize experimental results, document data as ELN and prepare technical reports to build the knowledge database and safeguard experimental data
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders both verbally and written
  •  Maintain and calibration of instruments working with OEMs and facility teams
  • Active engagements in EHS practices, comply with EHS and quality procedures in lab for safe operations

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • BE / BTech in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in in relevant industry
  • Good knowledge in solgel chemistry, formulations and coating testing
  • Self-motivated, take initiatives, able to work independently and in team
  • Use of basic statistical tools for representing experimental data
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
