Key Competencies
Core Tech Stack: 4-7 years building production web applications with React.js and Next.js. Strong command of TypeScript, component-based architecture, state management (Redux/Zustand/Context), and modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS Modules, or Styled Components). React Native Experience is a Plus.
Gaming / Real-Time Web Experience: Prior experience in online gaming, RMG, or casual gaming platforms preferred. Social casino experience is not required. Familiarity with real-time UI updates (WebSockets, SSE), game lobby interfaces, animations (Framer Motion, GSAP), and handling high-frequency user interactions.
Performance & PWA: Expertise in web performance optimization: code splitting, lazy loading, image optimization, Core Web Vitals. Experience building or contributing to Progressive Web Apps (PWA) with service workers, offline capability, and installable web experiences.
Payment & Auth Flows: Experience implementing secure payment UIs (PCI-compliant iframes, tokenized card inputs, wallet integrations like Apple Pay/Google Pay), OAuth/social login flows (Apple, Facebook), and session management.
Responsive & Mobile-First Design: Strong mobile-first responsive development skills. Yayz is web-first but must deliver a native-like experience on mobile browsers. Experience with touch interactions, viewport management, and adaptive layouts.
API Integration & Testing: Comfortable consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs, handling error states gracefully, and writing unit/integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright for E2E).
Collaboration & Code Quality: Experience working in agile teams with code reviews, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and design system adherence. Familiarity with tools like Figma for developer handoff.
Nice to have — React Native / Mobile: React Native or native mobile (iOS/Android) experience is a plus, as Yayz may add a native mobile wrapper in the future.
Experience
4+ years of professional work experience with React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript
Proven track record of leading frontend domain on 1+ consumer-facing web product from scoping to release
Expertise in web performance (Core Web Vitals, code splitting, lazy loading), PWA fundamentals, and mobile-first responsive design
Strong experience with REST/GraphQL API integration and writing unit / integration / E2E tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright)
Experience driving FE technical designs, contributing to TDD/LLD reviews, and standardizing shared components
Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and modern collaboration tooling (Figma handoff)
Experience in the gaming industry is strongly preferred (alternatively, deep experience with consumer-facing real-time products)
Nice to have: React Native experience (Yayz may add a native mobile wrapper)
Able to work in-office 3 days a week in Bangalore, India
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience
Location: Onsite in Bangalore, India
Travel Requirement: Less than 10%
