The Senior Software Development Engineer in Testing will design and maintain automation frameworks, integrate tests into development, conduct performance testing, and enhance testing strategies for cloud applications.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior SDET to join our team. The Senior SDET will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality of our cloud management platform, and contributing to the overall testing strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automation test cases and test suites.
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of automation tests into the development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Enhance and optimize the existing test automation framework for efficiency and scalability.
- Write and maintain high-quality test scripts using programming languages including Python.
- Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
- Analyze automation test results, identify areas for improvement, and share actionable insights with the team.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the overall automation testing strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in automation and performance testing.
Desired Skills
Must have:- Strong hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks including Robot Framework.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience with testing cloud-based applications.
- Good understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Experience using performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- A passion for testing, quality, and automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation testing tools.
- Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience in contributing to the improvement of automation frameworks would be a plus.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in automation testing and performance testing.
- 3+ years of experience in Automation Testing (API/Web UI).
- 1+ year of experience in Browser Compatibility testing.
- 1+ year of experience in Mobile application testing.
- 1+ year of experience in Performance Testing (good to have).
- 2+ years of experience working with the Robot Framework.
- 2+ years of experience in Python programming.
- 2+ years of experience working with AWS Cloud.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
