We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend – Python/FastAPI) to architect, build, and scale the backend systems powering our AI copilots and automation tools.

You’ll design highly performant APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that enable complex research workflows to run seamlessly. This role is ideal for engineers who love solving technical challenges, shaping system architecture, and taking ownership of critical product components from design to deployment.

• Architect, design, and build high-performance backend systems using Python (FastAPI)

• Develop scalable APIs, data models, and services supporting AI-driven automation workflows

• Collaborate closely with frontend, AI, and product teams to deliver seamless integrations

• Optimize database design, query performance, and API throughput for scale

• Own infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure reliability and low latency

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with strong test coverage

• Proactively identify bottlenecks and scalability challenges — and fix them before they impact users

• Mentor junior engineers, review code, and help define best practices across the team

• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and long-term engineering roadmap
  

Core Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend / Full Stack Engineer

• Expert in Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django

• Strong understanding of API design, asynchronous programming, and distributed systems

• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Hands-on experience building production-grade SaaS or automation systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias for shipping high-quality, scalable systems

Bonus Points

• Experience with LLMs, vector databases, or AI-integrated systems

• Exposure to data engineering pipelines or event-driven architectures

• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry)

• Previous experience in early-stage or high-growth startups
