Senior Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our SaaS Ecosystem Engineering team in Bangalore, reporting to the manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will be part of a team that is building SaaS-based applications and services, as well as other cloud components for our customers. You will use the latest technologies to create innovative and high-quality products that solve real-world problems. You will also collaborate with the best of the technical and thought leadership teams at Infoblox.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Design and build backend services in Cloud Data Connector — own features end-to-end from design through production rollout
  • Write high-quality Go code in the critical path: high-throughput, concurrent services with strict latency and availability requirements
  • Contribute to architecture — make sound trade-offs around scalability, reliability, and cost, and weigh in on team-level technical decisions
  • Design APIs (REST and gRPC) and contribute to the API framework used across the SaaS ecosystem
  • Raise quality through thoughtful code reviews, design feedback, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, SRE, and adjacent engineering teams to ship and operate reliable services
  • Stay sharp on cloud, networking, and distributed systems trends and bring back what’s worth applying

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8+ years building production-grade backend systems with deep Golang expertise
  • 4+ years of hands-on Go development, including concurrency, goroutines, channels, context, and sync primitives
  • Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices in production environments
  • Expertise in API design and development using REST and gRPC
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience using AI coding tools and building AI-powered features, such as LLMs, agents, or RAG-based solutions
  • Strong collaboration, communication, mentoring, and end-to-end feature ownership skills
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, networking protocols, and Python for backend tooling/services
  • Exposure to high-throughput, low-latency data-plane or telemetry-ingest systems, along with observability and SRE practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Be Successful — Your Path

First 90 Days:

Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors, and map the systems and stakeholders that rely on your work.

  • Onboard onto Cloud Data Connector — its services, customers, on-call posture, and the teams that depend on it
  • Ship meaningful code changes and begin participating actively in design and code reviews
  • Identify one or two areas of code or process where you can make an early, visible improvement

Six Months:

  • Own the design and delivery of a significant feature spanning one or more services
  • Become a trusted reviewer whose feedback is sought out for both code and design
  • Drive measurable improvements in reliability, latency, or developer productivity in your area

One Year:

  • Be an expert on the SaaS Ecosystem target state architecture and drive engineering design and grooming sessions for new feature development
  • Apply coding best practices and provide in-depth reviews of the team’s pull requests
  • Be a thought leader and mentor driving development in one or more domains

Belong— Your Community

Our culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward. In a community where every voice counts, continuous learning is the norm. So, whether you code, create, sell, or care for customers, you’ll grow and belong here.

Be Rewarded — Benefits That Help You Grow, Thrive, Belong

  • Comprehensive health coverage, generous PTO, and flexible work options
  • Learning opportunities, career-mobility programs, and leadership workshops
  • Sixteen paid volunteer hours each year, global employee resource groups, and a “No Jerks” policy that keeps collaboration healthy
  • Modern offices with EV charging, healthy snacks (and the occasional cupcake), plus hackathons, game nights, and culture celebrations
  • Charitable Giving Program supported by Company Match
  • We practice pay transparency and reward performance. Offers reflect role location, internal equity, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
