About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Pega application testing automation

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Pega application testing, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Solid understanding of Pega architecture, rules, and data models.
  • Experience with Pega SmartInspect or similar tools for performance and log analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or other relevant languages.
  • Experience with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and exposure to AI/ML

Job Expectations:

  • Design and execute detailed test cases and scenarios for Pega applications, incorporating both manual and automated testing to ensure thorough coverage of all application components
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that cover all aspects of the Pega application, including functionality, performance, security, and usability.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests for Pega applications using tools like Karate, Cucumber, Selenium, PegaUnit, SmartInspect, RPA, and other relevant technologies.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks and libraries for Pega applications.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release.
  • Identify, log, and track defects effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and other types of testing as required.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Pega best practices, technologies, and industry trends.
