What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Integrations team, you will help architect and maintain mission-critical systems supporting our global fleet customers operating 10,000 vehicles across multiple continents. In this role, you will:

Design and implement robust API integrations with third-party providers while developing our proprietary APIs

Build cutting-edge software solutions for real-time data processing and analytics

Collaborate with international engineering teams in Amsterdam and India to deliver scalable,high-performance systems Drive technical decisions that enable seamless communication and data exchange across the ChargePoint Fleet Platform ecosystem Our integrations process thousands of messages daily, providing vital insights and capabilities to fleet operators worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of clean technology and enterprise software, helping to shape the future of electric transportation.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Software Development & Integration:

• Implement scalable solutions using Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Gradle

• Developing robust data pipelines using Kafka and REST/gRPC APIs

• Balance technical excellence with pragmatic solutions to deliver business value

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborating with Amsterdam-based teams to align on project goals, architecture, and delivery timelines

• Driving clear communication and seamless collaboration across geographies

Infrastructure & Deployment:

• Leveraging GitOps, Kubernetes, and other tools to streamline deployment and infrastructure management

Documentation and Troubleshooting:

• Producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation

• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions

Architecture and Strategy:

• Participating in architectural discussions, bringing forward innovative ideas, and constructively challenging others’ proposals

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka

• Demonstrated ability to make and articulate architectural decisions.

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

• Experience owning projects from concept to deployment and maintenance.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Node.js and/or Python.

• Experience in the EV market or related fields.

• Interest in Big Data, IoT, and scalability challenges.

• Experience with mentoring or managing engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience with:

o PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, WebSocket, NATS

o Application Performance Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch

o Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

o Cloud infrastructure and networking concepts.
