Department OverviewMotorola Solutions creates life-saving technology for public safety and security. Our MSI CTO System Solutions team develops innovative, end-to-end solutions, including AI-powered systems and workflow management tools. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our agile team and contribute to projects like our Orchestrate workflow ecosystem and ALLY security incident management system
Job Description

  As a Software Engineer working in the ALLY Team, you will be responsible for building a security application that provides our customers the ability to manage security incidents, dispatch, and recordkeeping.  Our team members are responsible to design, develop, setup, test, deploy and manage all aspects of the application development and deployment. As a software engineer, you will help with design, development and test of both front-end and back-end services while participating as a full member of our Agile scrum team. 

  What we are looking for: 

  ● Java, Javascript, Angular, Go

  ● Application development experience based on object-oriented design methodologies, threading, and resource management

  ● Proven experience with Azure concepts including Function Apps, Key Vault, Azure VMs and storage accounts

  ●  Experience with various database types and database tools including MySQL and MariaDB

  ● Familiar with networking concepts including various transport protocols such as HTTP(s) and Websocket

  ● Experience with microservice design and development, Azure DevOps experience is a bonus

  ● Passion for developing clean and easy to maintain software with high-quality standards while delivering releases in a timely manner

  ● Ability to plan, develop, test and document application in a fast-paced environment

  ● Excellent communication skills 

  ● Studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer engineering or science

   

  Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills: 

  ● Familiar with defining and implementing robust APIs (REST) as well as tools such as Postman

  ● Working experience with modern full-stack CI/CD toolchain and Test automation concepts

  ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering or Science
  ● Must have 3+ years full time in a technical position with working experience (not including internship)
