Beckman Coulter’s middleware solution Remisol Advance (RADV) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to ensure the team organizes to delivers high quality deliverables. RADV consolidates and manages patient orders and results information through one workstation. Whether it’s connected to a single analyzer or an entire network of instruments, our Clinical Information System enables your lab to increase efficiency and deliver faster turnaround time. Plus, you can consolidate workstations and improve the quality of clinical information.
The position Software Engineer reports to the Software Development Manager, with the primary responsibility to design new features and address CFs reported from field. The incumbent translates requirements into software requirement specifications. The incumbent architects, designs, codes and tests software components. The incumbent will conduct and participate in reviews and inspections for all elements in the software lifecycle to ensure that our software quality and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the software life cycle. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating system issues and successfully determining root cause. May lead and/or participate in multi-functional product research and development teams.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Work in an iterative release product environment, with focus on challenging quality and delivery goals.

· Perform code inspections. Investigate software, hardware, system problems and determine root causes for failures.
· Use effectively prior experience of designing and architecting software modules.
· Valuable exposure to Multi-threaded application development.
· Effectively usage the knowledge on data persistence and query: SQL, Transact SQL,.
· Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA, ISO 13485, Facilitate appropriate cross functionals discussion

The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with 3–7 years of proven experience
- Expert in C++ based solutions with good depth of knowledge in Unit Testing, Code Quality, Code Refactoring. Minimum 3 years of development experience with C++
- Experience in designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies. Expert in writing and optimizing Database queries – sql or oracle
- Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams (part of the team localized in France)
- Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel as needed (minimal).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· functional knowledge of healthcare laboratories would be a plus
· development process in regulated environment (ISO 9000, 13485/FDA), ideally in medical devices IEC 62304 would be a plus
