Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

The Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist is a key member of the EMEA & APAC Sourcing Hub, responsible for supporting sourcing and recruitment activities across Smith+Nephew GBS Services. This role covers APAC and EMEA markets, with potential support to additional regions based on business priorities. Experience in either APAC or EMEA is an added advantage. Due to its cross-regional scope, the position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate collaboration across different time zones.

The Specialist will work proactively with Recruiters, TA Leads, and Hiring Managers to identify and recruit talent using a variety of sourcing strategies. Core responsibilities include developing proactive recruitment marketing activities, building strong candidate pipelines, conducting phone screenings, reviewing CVs, and providing coordination support such as interview scheduling, job posting, maintaining candidate databases, and creating role-specific pipelines.

What will you be doing?

  • The role is responsible for designing and executing advanced sourcing strategies across the APAC and EMEA regions in alignment with business priorities. This includes building and maintaining strong pipelines for critical and niche roles, leveraging multiple sourcing channels such as LinkedIn, Naukri, Workday, job boards, referrals, and networking platforms.
  • The position leads proactive outreach efforts, conducts phone screenings, assesses candidate fit, and partners closely with TA Specialists, TA Leads, and hiring managers to refine requirements, provide market insights, and influence hiring decisions. The role also guides Talent Sourcing Specialists by sharing sourcing techniques and driving continuous improvement within the team.
  • In addition, the position collaborates with the broader TA team on various recruitment projects, including EVP initiatives, candidate experience surveys, pipeline development, recognition programs, reporting, and hiring manager education. The role develops innovative sourcing strategies, identifies new talent channels, and shares best practices along with market intelligence to strengthen recruitment outcomes.
  • It also plays a key role in promoting Smith+Nephew’s Culture Pillars and Employer Value Proposition to engage and attract talent, while actively driving Diversity & Inclusion by sourcing candidates from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

What will you need to be successful?

  • The ideal candidate holds an MBA/PGDM or a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, HR, or a related field, with a minimum of five years’ experience as a Recruiter, Sourcing Specialist, or Sourcing Lead within an RPO, recruitment agency, onsite, or in-house model. Strong sourcing capabilities, including expertise in Boolean and X-ray searches, LinkedIn, and Naukri, are essential, along with hands-on experience using AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency. Familiarity with ATS systems such as Workday, along with proven ability to introduce new sourcing methods, develop talent pipelines, and translate business needs into sourcing strategies, is highly preferred.
  • The role requires strong customer focus, innovative thinking, and excellent organizational skills. The position is part of the EMEA & APAC Sourcing Team— a multilingual group supporting TA Specialists, TA Leads, and Hiring Managers across both regions. Established in 2020 under the in-house Talent Acquisition model, the team continues to evolve and drive best-in-class sourcing practices. Travel requirements for the role are minimal (<10%).
