The Opportunity: Litera is looking for a Senior Technical Lead, Software Engineering to help grow our development team. You will participate in the full SDLC from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. This engineering role includes building high-quality and fully performing software that meets quality and software development standards alongside a great team.
Role Responsibilities:

Guiding all stakeholders regarding corresponding topics (e.g., technical possibilities and limitations, UI/UX feedback, development priorities, and estimates).

Guide team to write clean, maintainable code that is extensible with a minimum number of defects

Provide guidance on modern software engineering techniques and methodologies for code reviews

Take ownership of product features from estimates to design and development

Manage team and individual task priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables

Shape innovative designs and feature enhancement ideas into the product and design process

Own key areas of the product in terms of design and development
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
-
8+ years of professional software development experience
-
2+ years of experience in a leadership role
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with various roles regarding development processes, technical possibilities, UI/UX feedback, and development priorities

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals

Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
-
Experience in developing modern client-server applications
-
Proficient in creating applications using React
-
Experience in establishing team guidelines, coding styles, and pull request review processes

Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and Docker
-
Understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), SOLID principles, KISS, and DRY principles

Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes (we use GitHub and Azure DevOps)

Proven ability to lead a team of engineers, guiding best practices, coding standards, and resolving complex issues

Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English
Nice-to-Have:

Experience with the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Azure DevOps

Experience in creating add-ins for Outlook and Microsoft Office

Familiarity with frontend monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry, and Datadog
