Senior Technical Expert – Onboard

Role Description
As a Senior technical expert in onboard technologies, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our software solutions for the automotive industry. 
Your expertise in system software architecture, OS, middleware & automotive device SW development, ensuring our products meet the unique needs of the automotive sector. You will work closely with international teams to design reference architectures aligned with modern SW  paradigms, while enhancing existing systems for improved security, modularity, scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness. In addition to architecture support, you will be responsible for identifying emerging trends in onboard technologies and software engineering. Your insights will help identify early bets for automotive industry in the emerging technology space. 

Experience
•    10-15 years of hands-on experience in OS (Like Linux, QNX), services architecture, and device full stack development (including 2-3 years of consulting experience)
•    Strong track record of designing and implementing complex systems, with specific experience in state-of-art programming paradigms like RUST, C++.
•    Experience identifying and evaluating emerging technology and software engineering trends, particularly in onboard technologies like distributed computing, Edge SW etc. 
•    Significant experience in building reference architectures for complex cross domain systems.
•    Experience working with international teams of architects and cross-functional engineering teams to define and deliver scalable software solutions.
•    Hands-on experience with SOC providers like NVidia, Qualcomm, NXP etc..
•    Experience in working with mobility/automotive scenarios will be an added advantage

Qualifications / Skills
Technical Skills:
•    System SW Architectures: Strong expertise in concept design, emergin trends and applicability like software for chiplets, VGPU interfaces etc.
•    Services Architecture: Adaptive AUTOSAR interfaces, Linux/Android like architectures to enable API oriented architectures at middleware+ layers.
•    Automotive ecosystem understanding: Deep understanding of safety, time-critical & seured SW development as relevant in real world automotive applications.
•    Containers & Orchestration: Proficiency in SW packaging like container technologies & needed tooling knowledge.
•    Device SW Development: Strong foundation in programming languages, OS concepts, Edge/IOT as relevant for a connected device SW development
•    DevOps & CI/CD: Proficiency with DevOps practices, including automated testing, continuous integration and deployment. 
•    Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, data encryption, and compliance frameworks like ISO 26262
•    Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience in Agile environments, ensuring continuous delivery and iterative development.
Technology thought leadership:
•    Spot Emerging Trends: Ability to spot emerging trends in software engineering and offboard technologies and derive actionable strategies for innovation and incubation.
•    Innovation: 
o    Drive the innovation led bets in its initial stages driven by onboard technologies as a major influencing technology.
o    Collaborate with technical experts, Business Leads and Engineering lead in intersection analysis between emerging technologies and business opportunities.
•    Continuous Learning and thought leadership: Demonstrated passion for staying ahead of industry trends, attending conferences. Engaging with the broader tech community to identify new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

•    Leadership & Mentoring: Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and guiding both technical teams and junior architects. Ability to lead small technical teams for incubation of emerging technologies.
•    Communication: Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting and discussing new technologies, architectural patterns, and innovations with internal teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
•    Collaboration: Skilled in working with diverse, international teams to deliver robust software solutions. 
•    Adaptability & Curiosity: Highly adaptable to dynamic business situations, with a passion for exploring new technologies and incorporating them into the solution development process.
