Technical Product Manager for Testing Platform

Toast’s Foundations Product Team is looking for a Technical Product Manager who is passionate about quality. We’re looking for someone who can deliver a best in class test platform for Developers and QA engineers developing microservices, web and mobile applications. This includes test frameworks, test environments and fast feedback loops for our Developers and QA engineers. About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Understand the testing needs of Developers and QA engineers developing microservices, mobile and web applications.
- Drive the roadmap for Toast’s test platform including automation tooling, end-to-end test framework and test environment management
- Create the Test pyramid customer journeys and identify most impactful problems to solve
- Drive the strategy for Test Environment Management
- Work closely with Toast teams on our Test Data Management strategy
- Work closely with our SRE team to ensure developers have e-2-e visibility across all environments in order to help reduce Change Failure Rate and improve the Defect Escape rate
- Document and provide governance for Quality standards as part of our SDLC process.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Knowledge and experience with the Test Pyramid
- Proven experience building a test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of mobile, web, monolith, and microservices
- Experience with TestRail or understanding of Test Case Management, Test Planning, Test execution and test reporting and analytics
- Product Management skills including Roadmap creation, User and Stakeholder Research, Problem and Solution validation, Product performance management
- Experience driving cross-function initiatives and delivering value to the business
- Understanding of functional and non-functional Quality requirements
- Understanding of CI/CD and Cloud technologies
- Developer and QA engineer empathy
- Technical experience, preferably in development
- BSc in Computer Science, CompEng or equivalent technical field
