Senior Technical Writer

As a Visual Communication Specialist Technical Writer, you will independently handle documentation responsibility for a product line. You will collaborate with R&D, design, verification, application engineering, and program management teams to create and deliver technical reference documents for IP and product releases.

As the graphics standards lead, you will also be creating and enforcing standards for visual communication in the technical documentation department for our IP and semiconductor product lines. This includes technical diagrams and visual communication artifacts used in technical reference manuals and in collaterals for marketing and presales. You will be responsible for reviewing documentation products created by the team to ensure that they are effective, consistent, and true-to-brand.

What You'll Do

· Create and deliver high-quality visual communication products including diagrams, videos, and presentations for our presales and post-sales communication needs.

· Create and enforce standards for visual communication in the technical documentation department to ensure that they are effective, consistent, and true-to-brand.

· Create and deliver technical reference documents for IP and product releases for assigned products.

· Collaborate with R&D, design, verification, application engineering, and program management teams located in different parts of the world.

· Collaborate with an internationally dispersed team of technical communicators on group projects and team initiatives.

· Maintain a high-quality documentation set by proactively soliciting feedback and reviews and by addressing reported issues in a timely manner.

What You'll Need

· Degree in electrical engineering or computer science

· 4-6 years of experience in technical communication with particular focus on visual communication (vector graphics and video editing tools)

· Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail

· Experience with structured authoring

· Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards

· Working knowledge of Unix/Linux

· Some experience in writing code or scripting is a plus
