About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Software Development Engineer II (SDE-2) who thrives on owning mid-to-large scale features and improving the efficiency and scalability of modern cloud-native systems. You will build and maintain the core platforms and services that power our engineering organization. You’ll work on shared infrastructure, developer tooling, and foundational services that enable product teams to ship reliably and at scale. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving systemic problems and improving reliability, performance, and developer experience.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features and reusable components used across the product.
- Develop high-performance, responsive user interfaces with React.js, Redux, MUI, and Tailwind CSS.
- Design, build, and maintain platform services, shared libraries, and internal tooling used across multiple engineering teams.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment workflows to increase developer velocity.
- Collaborate with product and application teams to understand their needs and translate them into self-service platform capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term fixes.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to design reviews and technical documentation.
- Continuously improve platform performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Redux, MUI (Material-UI), and Tailwind CSS.
- Proficiency in either Python or Java and development frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, FastApi.
- Experience working on backend systems, infrastructure, or platform-related projects.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to own full-stack features end-to-end.
What sets you apart:
- Deep expertise in the modern React ecosystem (hooks, context, performance optimization, testing).
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS) and modern deployment environments.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/alerting tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals such as availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or data-intensive web applications.
