Software Engineer - Learning -

Scope:

• Primary Duties: Engage with stakeholders to define training objectives and scope, craft engaging and informative content including Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs), eLearning modules, job aids, hands-on labs, assessments, and more. Oversee the deployment of training materials on Learning Management Systems (LMS) and assist in various training development tasks.
• Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance of content, collaborate effectively with team members, maintain clear communication with project leads and stakeholders, and apply instructional design principles and models to meet project specifications.

Tools you will be utilizing:

• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate, HTML, and other relevant authoring tools to create and design training materials.

What you’ll do: 

Education Cloud Administration

• Import configured training images, prep images for use in customer and partner training
• Maintenance of configured training image templates, update operating system, antivirus, 3rd party applications
• Deploy customer and partner training environments, ensure proper deployment, scheduling, and deletion
• Create and maintain system structure to aid in administration
• Troubleshoot system-related issues
• Work with Skytap support when troubleshooting requires escalation
• Export configured training images that may have been updated in this system for use in internal systems
• Ensure enough capacity is available at a regional level for customer and partner training. 
• Utilize “dark capacity” in other Education Cloud data centers for overflow

What we are looking for:

SharePoint Administration

• Primary point of contact for Education Team site and Education Public site
• Create, change, or remove lists, libraries, calendars as business needs dictate
• Create, change, or remove workflow automation to aid the Education Team in managing information on the Team Site and the Public Site
• Front line troubleshooting
• Work with IT when troubleshooting requires escalation
• Monitor workflow automation to ensure consistent execution of automated tasks

VMware/Azure administration –

• Internal Education image and content development and testing
• Provide baseline virtual machines with functioning licensed operating systems to the Education and Blue Yonder Content teams for training image development
• Capture templates of virtual machines configured by Education and Blue Yonder Content teams – interim development
• Provide virtual machines for testing and content development
• Capture templates of virtual machines configured by Education and Blue Yonder Content teams – final development and production
• Export production images for use in the Shared Image Library and Education Cloud
• Import production images from other teams’ internal VMware systems and Skytap when necessary
• Troubleshoot Windows Operating system issues
• Troubleshoot VMware network issues
• Work with IT when troubleshooting requires escalation
• Maintain sufficient storage to ensure image and content development can continue uninterrupted
• Work with Education and Blue Yonder Content teams to improve application function by configuring operating systems when requested

Business Process Administration –

• Workflow creation/testing/implementation
• Review new and existing business processes with all stakeholders
• Design an effective and efficient business workflow
• Create automation to support business workflow
• Test, implement, and improve automation

System/Application Review

• Review new systems and applications that assist in the Education delivery. 
• Perform initial evaluations, proof of concept, and implementation plans when requested or required.
