Primary Responsibilities:

• Primarily focus with Automation Platform
• Enhance and support existing infrastructure application related in VMware Services
• Develop automation using Python with Web application integration
• Attend Project meetings and development activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain automation solutions that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability across shared platforms and services
• Partner with engineering, operations, and product stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and define success metrics
• Design and develop automation tools/pipelines (scripts, APIs, CI/CD workflows) to optimize repeatable processes and reduce operational risk
• Ensure automation solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable, following coding standards, version control, and documentation best practices
• Integrate automation with existing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, GitHub Actions, Security Platform tools) and coordinate deployments with dependent teams
• Provide support and continuous improvement by monitoring automation outcomes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements based on feedback
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in Automation-focused roles
• Experience with Frontend Engineering (Next.js / React) - Core
• Experience with Backend Engineering (Python)
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enterprise integration patterns
• API gateway patterns, service-to-service authentication, request tracing
• Contract-first development (OpenAPI/Swagger), backward-compatible changes
• Infrastructure automation integration
• Ability to integrate backend services with automation tooling (e.g., VM workflows, provisioning, lifecycle tasks)
