Role: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Bengaluru
Work schedule: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Work mode: Hybrid
Intro: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Business Process Workflow Services team. The QA Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of business process workflows across various platforms and systems. This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate process designs, identify defects, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet business requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Analyze user stories to ensure appropriate test coverage and identify testing requirements
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases for sprint and regression testing
- Perform manual testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Convert sprint story test cases into regression test cases for the regression suite
- Conduct static testing of requirements during estimation and grooming sessions
Agile/Scrum Participation
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, demos)
- Estimate testing effort and complexity for user stories
- Participate in backlog grooming and refinement sessions
- Collaborate with developers and Business Analysts to identify impacted areas for sprint and regression testing
Defect Management
- Manage test cases and test execution in ALM Octane
- Map test cases to defects and features for traceability
- Log, track, and manage defects in Version One (Digital.AI)
- Participate in defect triage and prioritization discussions
- Participate in root cause analysis and recommend process improvements
Quality & Process Improvement
- Ensure workflows align with business rules, compliance standards, and operational goals.
- Perform regression testing to validate changes and enhancements
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders for sign-off
- Assist with QA process improvements and best practice implementation
- Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Work collaboratively with development and business teams to enhance product quality
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed QA documentation including test results, defect logs, and quality metrics
- Provide regular status updates and quality reports to project managers and leadership
- Contribute to QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or testing, preferably in business process or workflow environments.
- Experience testing enterprise applications (Pega experience highly preferred)
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with test case management tools (ALM Octane preferred)
- Experience with defect tracking tools (Version One/Digital.AI preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar
- Experience with workflow platforms (e.g., Appian, Pega, ServiceNow, or similar)
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Experience with requirements analysis and static testing
- Knowledge of Order Management or similar business systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Other Qualifications and Nice to have
- UI test automation experience using Playwright (JavaScript) or similar frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)
- API test automation experience using Playwright, Postman, or similar tools
- Programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript)
- Experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing
