The Opportunity
“We are seeking a Lead Software Quality Engineer to lead the testing of a decisioning platform. You will be leading a highly energetic team of software quality engineers to create the next generation software platform for FICO’s software decisions capabilities. This role involves providing testing direction to engineering teams responsible for decision processing of high-volume, low latency execution. These capabilities embody patented and unique market value that drives critical business value in a high growth area. What You’ll Contribute

Collaborate with product managers to understand priorities and usage scenarios of product features.

Collaborate with user experience personnel to understand personas within usage scenarios.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to drive the test design for your software platform capability.

Collaborate within working groups of software quality engineers to follow software engineering standards, guidance, and processes.

Continuously improve quality engineering practices for the software platform to support efficiency, reliability, and serviceability goals.

Coach other software quality engineers on creating their test plans, designs and implementations.

Collaborate with principal and senior engineers to design and implement non-functional tests.
What We’re seeking
-
Ability to define and drive integration and non-functional test design for user interfaces, event-driven services, and micro-services.
-
Experience implementing integration and non-functional tests for software built in a variety of programming languages.
-
Technical expertise across all deployment models on public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.

Experience creating, documenting, and communicating tests for complex products.
-
Experience in building, tracking, and communicating plans within agile processes.
-
Experience coaching/mentoring individuals and teams.
-
Experience with supporting production software deployments.
-
Experience with commercial software product processes.
-
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

Experience with multiple public cloud technologies, e.g., AWS, Google, Azure.

Experience with integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines built on GitHub Actions.

Experience with test tools such as Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, wrk, JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, and K6
-
Experience testing software built with C++, Python and Java.

Experience testing a platform upon which users configure rules.
