Job Description

Visa is looking for a passionate Software Test Engineer to join a team of hands-on, passionate professionals developing innovative products. The person in this position will be responsible for qualifying products and features developed by cross functional teams, developing test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements, documenting end user scenarios, detecting and reporting UI, API, and system wide issues, participating in triaging defects, automating test cases to assist with production release regression testing, and preparing test reports and release readiness reports for components, APIs, and product feature integrations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross functional sprint teams to qualify and prepare to release Visa  products and corresponding companion applications.

• Develop test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements and technical implementations.

• Prepares and distributes test reports and release readiness reports for stake holder review.

• Actively contributes to QA support functions - UI and API Automation, triage issues, troubleshoot issues, conduct API tracing, and support production release testing.

• Design and develop advanced test suites using object-oriented methodologies. 

• Implement and execute test strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage. 

• Should be able to do both functional and Automation.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor's degree, with 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience coding in Java or Typescript, software test automation development.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1–3 years of QA experience with a specialization in Data / ETL testing across complex data pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL for validating data accuracy, transformation rules, and end-to-end data flow testing.
• Experience in analyzing source-to-target mappings and working closely with data engineering teams to ensure data quality.
• Test Power BI reports and dashboards, verifying visuals, filters, and DAX measures against business requirements.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and defect logs.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and QA teams to understand data flows and requirements.
• Ensure test data availability and support test automation for repeatable data validations.
• Support UAT and production validation efforts for data and reporting solutions.
