Job Description:

Solventum is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Data Engineer to help shape the future of global health informatics. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and support our Enterprise Data Mesh, enabling scalable, data-driven healthcare solutions worldwide.

You will work closely with SaaS application teams and data stakeholders to develop robust, secure, and scalable data platforms that power insights for a broad network of healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AWS-based data platform services, including EMR, S3, Glue, RDS, Aurora, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB, using automated cloud deployment pipelines.
• Build, monitor, and optimize high-performance data pipelines leveraging modern big data frameworks to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Establish and promote data engineering best practices, including data modeling standards, pipeline design, and cost-efficient data usage.
• Partner with senior technical leaders, analysts, engineers, and data scientists to deliver scalable AWS-based data solutions.
• Architect and implement advanced data solutions, including data integration, transformation, governance, and application enablement.
• Collaborate with domain teams to design physical data models and data mappings aligned with business and healthcare requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based data platforms on AWS.
• Extensive experience implementing big data technologies and modern Data Lakehouse architectures on AWS.
• Deep expertise in AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, RDS, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience building and automating scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Scala, and advanced SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and serverless technologies including AWS Lambda.
