Sr Computer Scientist – Adobe Experience Platform

The Challenge

Our engineering team is responsible for Adobe Experience Platform that is uniquely poised to offer its services to build solutions to bring the delightful experience and intelligence in a far superior way which otherwise would not have been to manage and bring value to our customers. The Experience Platform offers brand new capabilities for data integration, data governance, advanced analytics, and machine learning services. We help our customers collect, manage and synthesise petabytes of data with high fidelity and velocity. We help them make sense of that data, glean insights and run algorithms, so they can deliver delightful experiences in real-time, every time.

Building a robust fault tolerant and highly available system at very high scale while providing ease and convenience to disparate solutions and enterprise customer team is a key to our success. We use Big Data, Open source technologies and home grown solutions to develop various services for Adobe Solutions, Customers and Partners.

We support very large enterprise products to support their customers spread across geographies. This requires disparate data sources and ingestion mechanism. The data has to be made easily accessible at very low latency to support different scenarios and use cases. We are looking for strong candidates having deep expertise in building low latency services at very high scale. The candidates would be leading our path to accomplish our vision.

What you will need to succeed

• 10+ years in design and development of large scale data intensive distributed systems.

• 3+ years as a lead.

• In depth work experience on technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Kubernetes, etc.

• In depth work experience on one or more public clouds like Azure, AWS or GCP.

• Strong background in Relational Stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Strong coding skills in Java, Scala, Python.

• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms.

• Cost consciousness around computation and memory requirements.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

• BTech/MTech/MS in Computer Science.

• Lead the technical design and implementation strategy for major systems and components of the Platform.

• Design, build and deploy the products with very high quality.

• Cost consciousness around computation and memory requirements.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional R&D teams.

• Mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

• Developing and evolving engineering best practices to optimize team’s efficiency.
