As a Senior Software Engineer on the Product team, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining software systems designed to analyze and interpret medical data to drive healthcare improvements. Your work will directly support our product offerings by enabling more effective data-driven decisions. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver well-designed and intuitive user-friendly solutions.



WHAT YOU'LL DO AT H1

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including, data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to gather materials and understand user needs. Your contributions will be crucial in providing optimal solutions that align with both our product goals and specific user needs, all while ensuring timely delivery. 


You will:

- Partner with stakeholders to provide the best solutions that meet both user needs and business goals

- Connect and import data from various sources and ensure data cleanliness and accuracy throughout preprocessing and quality checks

- Develop algorithms and systems to process and analyze large sets of medical data, such as patient records, clinical trials, and health outcomes. This involves extracting meaningful insights that can influence patient care, medical practices, and health policies

- Work on integrating applications with existing healthcare IT systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. This can involve working with electronic health records (EHRs), diagnostic tools, and other healthcare management systems.

- Stay updated with the latest developments in both technology and healthcare sectors to implement cutting-edge solutions that can improve data analysis, such as machine learning models or predictive analytics.

As a self-starter, you excel in managing projects across all stages, from requirement gathering and design to coding, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. Your proactive approach and diverse skill set make you an invaluable asset in driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions within our dynamic Product Engineering team.


- You have experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement

REQUIREMENTS

- 6+ years of experience working with big data technologies and deploying products on AWS EMR

- Strong coding skills in Python preferably, supporting large scale data processing 

- Experienced with distributed platforms like Apache Spark

- Familiarity with data engineering pipeline tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or Terraform

- Experience working with Natural Language Processing (NLP) or similar technologies, such as text analytics, or machine learning models for language tasks required

- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL

- Software management tools such as Git, JIRA, and CircleCI

- Familiarity with ElasticSearch, ETL API design, or customer facing data delivery a plus
