Job Title:Sr Developer I - IT Global SAP ABAP
Summary:This position is responsible for performing design, develop SAP ABAP and integration objects in across the SAP Modules implementation of mission critical systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Self-motivated, able to mentor and motivate teams
- Execute / lead assigned projects and activities within the team.
- Provide technical direction for team members on development efforts
- Interpret and adopt new development approaches and technology
- Facilitate technical training for new personnel to attain and maintain SAP ABAP, EDI and Interface technical proficiency and competency-based skills.
- Create and review technical specifications and track status on RICEFW development objects including ABAP/PI customizations.
- Respond to and coordinate production application and systems support including during off-hours and holidays.
- Drive analysis and remediation efforts for systemic issues
- Lead the maintenance and creation of documentation for existing and newly developed systems
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent is required.
- 7+ years of technical experience providing software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Must have experience in all core SAP applications and tools including SAP integration with Legacy systems, SAP Smart forms, ALE (Application Link Enabling), IDOC (Intermediate Document) interface programming, Dialog Programming, Remote Function Calls, BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), ABAP (Object Oriented ABAP), ALV, Web Dynpro, LSMW conversions
- Should have knowledge on core SAP functional areas such MM,SD,FI,..etc
- Strong English Communication Skills (verbal and written)
- Familiar with full-life cycle (SDLC) development and formal change management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
- Experience in off/on shore model as well as working with Virtual teams.
- Conceptual and analytical thinker – ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.
