Senior Engineering Manager for CNS V&V will be responsible for Sw verification of all products in CNS COE The person will be ensuring flawless certification of products by managing cost, schedule and quality. Aligned to NPD transformation objective, He/she would be accountable for driving standardization of test frameworks, enhancing automation, deploying simulation and strengthen the process handoffs by cross leveraging the technology and adapting the best practices across Aerospace project teams to improve products cycle time, quality and reduce cost.
ResponsibilitiesTECHNOLOGICAL & BUSINESS/STRATEGIC
- Program execution in terms of cost, schedule, quality and milestone adherence
- Responsible for coordinating the quotation estimate responses for V&V programs.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate communications amongst all stakeholders, Present program status at Program Reviews
- Responsible for planning and executing programs within the Software V&V CoE and with other key stakeholders like Program Lead, SPE and PM.
- Actively contributes to overall transformation projects that enable NPD Transformation for Speed.
- Develops work package structure, leads creation of cost, integrated schedules and milestones for all the programs
STRATEGIC IMPACT
- Implementing Software V&V CoE strategies applicable to products in the COE
- Partner to execute SDP for V&V
- Driving the STRAP improvement goals and strategies during the program execution
- Drive Growth (min 2 ideas GBE approved), E4E goal expectations
- Active engagement of key leadership in relevant PACs of Avionics GBE and contribute to achieving break-through objectives (Short Cycle RMUs, RDE Reduction, STRAP, Production Excellence)
PLANNING/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATION
- Providing program status reports to the Aero V&V Leader and the product COE.
- Working with the Technical Leaders at all locations to ensure that the required resources are deployed to the project(s), in terms of engineers, benches and software
- Work with stakeholders to eliminate the V&V risks and resolve the dependencies.
- Interfaces with global Product PE, Program Managers, Technical Leaders to execute the program.
- Manage people across locations, drive robust succession plans and enable teams to deliver on commitments seamlessly.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
- 15+ years’ experience in avionics software/systems/software verification.
- Strong technical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178B/C design assurance guidelines.
- Strong understanding of software development and verification methods and tools currently in use as well as versed in industry standards
- Experience in Software Verification is desirable.
- Prior knowledge of Honeywell-program management Tools, IPDS Phases will be added advantage.
- Experience with preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, baseline change management, risk mitigation, technical design reviews, management reviews, customer coordination meetings, cost/schedule/status reporting.
- Experience leading multi-functional engineering teams within a global matrix organization.
- Experience in driving changes through an organization
- Strong communication skills, green belt and/or DFSS certified
