The engineering platforms are built using kafka based event driven architecture which allows high-scale to process huge data volumes in integrated applications as well as disruptor patterns which help high performance inter-thread messaging. SQL and NoSQL databases are used based on the business use-cases along with RocksDB, embeddable persistent key-value stores which is used as back-end for very high-volume APIs or as an ephemeral datastore while processing billions of kafka messages a day!

About You: The Sr. Engineering Manager (SEM) is responsible for a managing a team of full stack engineers that is building highly innovative and cutting edge robotics solutions. This role is accountable for leading a team, developing code, deploying and managing in production. Most importantly, the SEM, while working with the Product owners drives the product Net promoter score (NPS), user satisfaction, building the product roadmap and delivering highly functional, exceptionally innovative and intelligent software. You will be called upon to be the technical representative for your team during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail. Requirements

  • 4-year degree
  • Proven experience of 12 years in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development
  • Demonstrated experience of 4 years in a leadership or management role, leading engineering teams to deliver complex software projects/products
  • Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility, and develops ability to apply these technologies
  • Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain-specific knowledge
  • Strong technical knowledge in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Kotlin, React, SpringBoot
  • Understands the concepts of distributed programming and applies it to their domain
  • Knowledge of associated technologies like Micronaut, Microfrontends is a plus.
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
