The Sr Developer is a key partner in bringing technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the Transunion product suite. These product suites enable the data processing and analytics necessary to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions. The engineer filling this role will be responsible for helping customers in the areas of application development, API integration, and data engineering.

What You'll Bring 

Objectives of this role

·       Create design- and user-focused experiences

·       Build personalized and customized features for users

·       Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements

·       Develop standard code that can serve as the foundation of future projects

·       Perform tasks accurately and to our quality standards

Responsibilities

·       5+years of JavaScript experience (library development preferred) 

·       Collaborate with web designers and back-end developers to complete projects

·       Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) 

·       Proven experience with at least one cloud-based provider 

·       Create wireframes and mockups of site/application designs

·       Turn feedback into custom solutions for client needs

·       Optimize sites/apps to improve performance and efficiency

·       Author technical documentation

Required skills and qualifications

·       Experience in building functional and effective platforms

·       Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

·       Strong technical portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of abilities

 

What We'd Love to See – Good to have

·       Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the cloud-based provider 

·       Experience with network and traffic analysis in cloud environments 

·       Understanding of network protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting in cloud environments (traffic analysis and/or packet sniffing would be ideal) 

·       Exposure to DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines to build and test artifacts 

·       Knowledge of security best practices in distributed systems 

Impact You'll Make:

Hands on in Javascript must (Angular, React, Vue.Js), HTML, CSS with any cloud

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
