The system ASIC team at Infinera works on the latest protocols in networking, 800G Ethernet and beyond, at cutting edge technology nodes(2/3nm). These ASICS enable the latest networking infrastructure networks of leading ICP and cloud service providers. These complex multi-billion gates ASICs provide a challenging environment requiring development of innovative IP solutions based on the latest specification of standard bodies like ITU/IEEE.
We are looking for creative and enthusiastic SoC Design Engineers to join the team and help develop these systems. As a member of the design team, you will be involved in the specification, design and verification of various complex ASIC and subsystems.
Job Responsibilities:

Ability to interpret and map documents from standard bodies to requirements/functions

Work with architecture and other cross functional teams like Firmware, verification and emulation teams.

Ability to comprehend high level requirements and create a microarchitecture document

Provide technical leadership to a team of designers and be responsible for delivery by taking it through planning, definition and implementation phase.

Handson experience with various aspects of ASIC design including RTL coding and design checks including lint, CDC, RDC, synthesis and static timing analysis.

Strong design skills - should be able to review the arch, requirements and micro-arch, synthesis and timing reports.

Work with verification and lab validation teams to debug and qualify the implementation.
Skills and Experience:
-
10+ years of experience in Ethernet/Networking domain with hands-on experience in delivery of a complex ASIC.

Understanding of complex data-path oriented designs involving multiple clock domain crossings and low power techniques
-
Experience in delivering subsystems with tight latency and power budgets.

Familiarity with UPF is desirable

IP development experience in any of the latest networking standards like IEEE802.3df, ITU-T G709.1, OIF-800ZR would be preferred.

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree or higher in CS or EE with very good academics. Master's degree preferred
