Sr or Lead QA Engineer (Error Management)

What's the role?
The HERE Navigation team is looking for an Error Manager with proven experience in working with complex software running in Android Automotive systems. As an Error Manager you will help us deploy and improve cutting-edge navigation systems. In this role you will :

• Do d aily prioritization and assignment of defects during the feature development phase or maturation phase of the product
• Remove blockers wherever possible to ensure continuous working of defects and escalate to relevant stakeholders when blockers cannot be removed by the Error Manager
• Create and support JIRA (Using extensive JQL), and Kanban dashboards to monitor and track the Overall Fault Metrics of a Product.
• C reate clear communication channels between the Customer and Product Development Team as part of the Bug Handling Process.
• Create and monitor relevant SLA's/KPI's and signal relevant stakeholders when they are not met Conduct RCA for the agreed criteria of the bugs
• Drive the error triage meetings .
• Facilitate Customer facing technical discussions with Project/Product Teams to discuss and clarify bug-related topics .
• Create and maintain defect prediction models of the program in scope.

Who are you?
As a suitable candiate candidate you have a hands-on pragmatic approach combined with an analytical mindset built on a solid theoretical basis. You are someone who has a strong background as an Error Manager. You like to take initiative and work independently against agreed targets and organize your work without excessive direction. In addition, solid interpersonal skills are a necessit and also following.

• BSc or MSc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar t echnical degree
• Five to Ten years of overall working expereicne including 4 to7 years of experience in a similar role in Error or Defect Management as an individual contributor.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the Atlassian JIRA System and JIRA Query Language.
• Experience in Embedded Software projects
• Hands on experience in debugging and error analysis
• Good understanding of Waterfall and Agile product development management methodologies.
• Knowledgeable of typical product delivery life cycles and methods to optimize best practices
• Good people management skills and not afraid to push back on challenges.
• Ability to quickly grasp a complex system to understand where Defects should be triaged into.
