The RoleAs a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead technical project delivery across SCADA, EMS, GMS, and ADMS implementations for leading utilities globally. Working with AspenTech OSI’s Monarch platform, you’ll be responsible for system design, integration, testing, and commissioning - helping bring real-time control and grid automation solutions to life.Your Impact- Understand project requirements through interactions with customer & internal stakeholders. Delegate tasks to other teams as necessary.
- Assess technical specification requirements for projects, evaluate risks and identify mitigation plans.
- Design, plan, integrate, test (FAT / SAT / System availability) and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
- Provide networking and system/application design.
- Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration and perform factory functional testing for SCADA, HMI and other related functionalities.
- Prepare project documentation and assist in creating training materials as needed.
- Document and track progress of project activities, and report any technical issues.
- 5-8 years of experience with SCADA systems or utility software platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or related Engineering field.
- Hands-on experience with utility protocols (IEC104, IEC101, DNP3, Multispeak, IEC 61850), RTU integration, and ICCP configuration.
- Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), ODBC, and SCADA configuration tools.
- Solid understanding of system architectures (ex. Client-server), operating systems (UNIX/Windows/Linux), and networking.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects and proactively mitigate risks.
- Willingness to travel (usually upto ~25%) to domestic and international customer sites.
- Experience in full software project delivery lifecycle for utilities or related industries in products such as SCADA/Substation Automation system and similar.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (C#, Python, or similar scripting experience); SQL knowledge.
- Knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP and routing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
