We are now seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and driven Sr. / Sales Executive in India! The role will play a critical role in driving our growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities within the education and corporate training sectors. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Account Management, India, you will be responsible for executing our sales strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.

This role will leverage your expertise in SaaS sales to hunt for new prospects, negotiate complex deals, and close high-value contracts. The ability to understand prospect’s needs, articulate the value of our solutions, and navigate through the sales cycle with tenacity and finesse will be key to success. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and innovative environment.

What your new job can look like…

At Moodle, no two days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Manage the sales process utilising specific software programs and workflows
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the education and corporate training sectors while working on inbound leads provided.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Lead and conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records according to organisational standards in Salesforce.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a CRM database
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure a seamless sales process and high customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide clients with relevant insights and solutions.
  • Regularly report on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to the Head of Sales and Marketing.
  • Travel and participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions and/or conferences.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Contribute to RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFQs (Request for Quotes), supporting other team members as needed
  • Share knowledge with other team members both formally and informally to strengthen all aspects of the department.
  • Work with other client-facing team members (Account Managers, Sales Development Reps Solution Architects, Marketing teams, etc.) to ensure a positive Client Experience.
  • Assist the marketing team in identifying innovative ways to reach clients, and to contribute information for published case studies.
Requirements

Especially if you have:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B Sales, with a focus on strategic planning or regional market management.
  • Proven ability to leverage technology for prospecting and territory management
  • Strong negotiation, hunting, and closing skills with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Passionate about making an impact through sales
  • Committed to ensuring clients have an incredible experience throughout the client lifecycle
  • Advisory role in providing advice on market opportunities, messaging, and competitive intel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional collaboration and listening skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for innovative technology solutions.
  • Proficient in the use of a CRM (i.e. Salesforce.com)
  • You thrive in a diverse, global environment and build strong, positive relationships with your stakeholders.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:

  • Significant experience in the EdTech sector
  • An understanding of EdTech, particularly learning management systems (LMS)
  • Higher Education Experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with open-source software
