Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for

  • Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.

  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.

  • Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations.

  • Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.

  • Developing expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership .

  • Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.

  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.

  • Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues.

  • Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.

  • Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

  • Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view.

  • Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

  • Oversee the product development process, from ideation to launch.

  • Work closely with engineering, design teams to ensure successful component development, delivery and integration

  • Ensure effective communication, alignment and support for Lifecycle Programs and Projects across organizational functions (Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Program Management Office (PMO), Quality, Supplier Management, etc.) and global sites.

  • Work with Product Management and Program Management to ensure clear prioritization of assigned tasks.

  • Leverages technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal resources and limited external resources outside of own team to help make decisions.

  • Leverages deep knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policies/strategies.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, or engineering support. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 17+ years+ of experience

Business Acumen:

  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.

  • Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement

  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes

  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.

Leadership:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization

  • Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with global teams and leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in cloud technologies and microservices.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
