In this position you will drive execution and process improvement for world-class software asset management of the $40MM+ Engineering license portfolio for Gas Power and – in case of shared licenses - other GE Vernova businesses.Job Description
What you’ll do
Manage processes, contract resources, and systems to execute $40MM+ annual software purchase/renewal scope for Gas Power and other GE Vernova businesses. This requires close coordination with Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, and software asset managers from other business units.
Review and approve vendor management requests (VMRs) to enable 250+ annual Purchase Orders. Help resolve issues or roadblocks preventing timely renewals.
Work with Finance to maintain accurate financial pacing and liquidation details for chargeback to Gas Power Engineering and other business units. Drive annual budgeting process for software scope.
Champion continuous improvement and cost out efforts. Identify and execute process and system improvements for software asset management. Find and track opportunities for software cost reduction.
Act as Engineering software representative for Gas Power business development. For acquisitions, this includes facilitating integration plans and managing additional software demand. In the case of divestitures, this includes providing application usage data, tracking separation and TSA activities, and ensuring post-close access removal.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with significant experience in IT project management or IT operations
Experience with software asset management processes/tools or similar (operations management, vendor management, Lean process improvement)
Strong organizational and communication skills
