Job Description

The Digital Enablement Platform team is responsible to build the next generation of applications and SDKs to facilitate Web and mobile commerce in everyone's digital lives. Our focus is to build profoundly simple apps and SDKs that embed into our customers' everyday lives. This role is a self-organized Sr. Software Engineer with solid Web UI development experience using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript and ReactJS with Redux and/or other modern Javascript frameworks. Our Engineering team is focused on building and maintaining a Component-Based Web-UI. In this position, you are first and foremost a passionate and talented developer that can work in a dynamic environment as a member of Agile Scrum teams. Your strong technical leadership, problem-solving abilities, coding, testing, and debugging skills is just a start. You must be dedicated to filling product backlog and delivering production-ready code. You must be willing to go beyond the routine and prepared to do a little bit of everything.

This position is based in Bangalore, India. As a key member of the development team, the candidate should be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences.

We are seeking a Web Frontend Developer with 2 to 6 years of experience in developing web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and React. This role will involve developing high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

Responsibilities:

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience with a focus on developing user-facing features using React.js

• Extensive experience in Javascript, Typescript and CSS

• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Proficiency in using and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes while following the software development lifecycle.

• Implementing security and data protection.

• Proven record of leading a software development team will be a plus

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Collaborates with others to support the piloting of new technology capabilities and features that enhance the user website experience across e-commerce products.

• Analyzes bugs for simple issues and applies debugging tools to verify assumptions.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in front-end development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript (ES6)

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience in developing web applications using Typescript and React.js
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
