DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
- Accurately process payroll for all employees using the current Payroll system.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate wages, overtime, deductions and bonuses in compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Compliance and Record Keeping
- Maintain comprehensive payroll records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax filings and superannuation contributions.
- Prepare and submit required payroll reports to government authorities on time.
Employee Relations and Support
- Manage employee queries related to payroll, superannuation, leave entitlements, and other related matters.
- Provide clear and effective communication to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR to address any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
System and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll software features or updates.
- Work with HR and IT to ensure payroll systems are integrated effectively with HR management systems.
Reporting and Reconciliation
- Prepare payroll-related financial reports and reconciliations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to payroll expenses.
- Ensure accurate entry of payroll data into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date records.
