In the Senior Data Engineer role, you will be working with the data engineers, data Architect, team leads and practice leadership to contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Software Engineering function, team, and strategy. This role is based in Bengaluru, India, and will work with Software Development and Corporate IT, and practice resources based in the US and India.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 4+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, specializing in Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and shell scripting, with the ability to write efficient, reusable, and robust code.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and LogicApps.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting for task automation, system management, and task scheduling.
- Strong SQL skills, including creating stored procedures, functions, and working with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Applied knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, normalization) and experience working with large-scale data systems.
Preferences:
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate for workflow automation and Power Apps for UI/UX design of user-friendly interfaces.
- Azure Certification (DP-203) and relevant certifications in Azure, Power Apps, or Data Engineering are highly preferred.
