About the Job 

You will be part of the BW BO Tableau team where you need to participate in a Global Production Support team that supports multiple applications and with a focus on SAP Business Objects, BW HANA, Power BI and Tableau as a shared service across the enterprise with diverse data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, BW HANA, SAP S4 HANA and others. Demonstrate in-depth experience with numerous aspects of SAP Business Objects (BO) and Tableau administration. This includes platform architecture and administration, security model, universe and front-end report design. The successful candidate will deploy and support integration and onboarding of business applications into a shared multi-tenant global Business Objects environment. Solid awareness of Information Security standards and policies are preferred to ensure all deployed objects and configuration settings are highly secure and available. The candidate will work directly with systems and software engineers and architects to implement solution designs in a large complex worldwide enterprise. 

• Experienced in Production Support activities around SAP BW, BO, Tableau and Power BI. 

  • Set up, monitor, maintain BO and Tableau servers and continue working on architecture, administration, upgrade, and patching support. Should have experience in Backup and Restore of BO and Tableau environments. 

  • Setting up the auditing policies, user permissions, manage event and alerts related to CMS, Audit and Reporting Database services for both BO and Tableau 

  • Keep availability of BO Web applications CMC, BI Launchpad, Tableau and other applications. 

  • Handling the support issues from business users. 

  • Manage Universe and Connections and other BI Repository objects. 

  • Maintaining prompt remediation to BO-related Info-Security threats and vulnerabilities  

  • Experienced in Power BI dashboard and should be able to support the basics for any troubleshooting. 

  • Providing guidance and enforcing consistent policies for design and development of system connectivity and Information Design Tool, universes, and reports for new and existing tenant applications integrating into the shared global BO environment.  

  • Interacts with other internal departments such as database administrators, web technologies, identity management, and outside consultants to deliver scalable and highly effective analytic solutions.  

  • Promotion of reports/universes/users along with security settings from lower to higher-level environments following Change Management processes.  

  • Installing and configuring client connectivity to different databases like HANA, Oracle and SQL Server 

  • Design and implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO based applications to users and adding security restrictions (application level, folder level, and object level) based on user profile and user groups.  

  • Create access levels (Developer, Reporter, Viewer, etc.) based on project and business needs.  

  • Tracking, troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of End User incidents and tickets; resolves customer issues within the service level agreements.  

  • Participates in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices.  

  • Exposure to DataSphere and SAC. 

  • Experience in Tabelau server installation, upgrade and configuring Tableau server in Windows.  

  • Experience in High availability and DR setup in Tableau server 

  • Experience in SSL certificate creation and configuration. 

  • Experience in SAML integration for tableau server and desktop 

  • Experience in activation of tableau license key both in offline and online 

  • Experience in creating the Multiple sites and site administration  

  • Experience in using TSM and Tabadmin utilities 

  • Experience in creating custom audit reports in Tableau example (Workbooks, View associated to the workbooks) 

  • Adherence to standard ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change management including adherence to key Operate Service Level Agreements (SLA) - Incident and Business 

  • Assisting in the development of long term strategies to maximize the effectiveness of the applications that we support to our clients, the potential of our support team and adherence to established best practices for our infrastructure 

  • Help drive the identification of opportunities to more efficiently support our portfolio of applications 

  QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    

  • 6+ years in BO Administration of Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform to include the latest 4.3 software version.  

  • 6+ years total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering or administrative role.  

  • 3+ years of experience in designing & building WEBI and Tableau reports.  

  • Experience with integrating BO with multiple SAP-based platforms (ECC; BW; S/4 HANA; BW/4 HANA; SCM; GRC etc.)  

  • 1 + year experience in Power BI dashboard and Support 

  • At least 1 year experience in DataSphere  

  • Exposure to SAC is added advantage 

  • Experience with Window Server OS, Windows Security, Firewalls, and Networking  

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, HANA and other enterprise-level databases.  

  • Proficient in promotion management, version management, creating/modifying universes using IDT, WebI reports and SAP Analysis for MS Office.  

  • Experience with BO audit reports, audit universe and the BO metadata model  

  • Experience with application integrations utilizing the BO SDK.  

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical parties.  

  • Ability to provide clear communication to senior management on issue identification and resolution.  

  • Leverage business knowledge and understanding to translate complex business analysis and reporting requirements into technical designs.  

  • Understanding of SAP applications and its functionalities is an added advantage.  

  • Must be able to pay close attention to complex details and understand written and oral instructions.  

  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.  

  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.  

  • Willingness to learn new technologies at an accelerated pace.  

  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity.  

  • Support experience with Bex queries and AO workbooks Knowledge of information  

  • SAP BO Administrator and/other certifications  

  • Experience with authentication applications with OKTA, AD, and SSO  

  • Oral/Written fluency in Other Non-English languages 

  • • Primarily works in an office environment.  

    • Open to hybrid mode 

    • Must be able to work effectively with North American and India based extended teams.  

     

    Job requires the following physical activities:  

    • Working at a computer and video display terminal more than 75 % of the time.
