What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable Node.js applications.
- Handle concurrent user requests, ensuring minimal latency and optimal response times.
- Build and integrate with real-time data processing systems and analytics.
- Develop robust APIs for the integration of databases and data storage solutions that can handle high concurrency loads.
- Optimize the retrieval of metadata and user-related data during streaming sessions.
- Build systems that can effortlessly scale to accommodate increasing traffic loads during peak viewing times.
- Collaborate closely with the front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Work alongside system architects and database administrators to design robust backend systems.
- Stay updated with Node.js and backend development best practices to recommend system improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and ensure the platform's safety measures are always a step ahead.
Who should apply for this role:
- Engineers with 4.5 - 7 years’ experience in developing scalable and robust applications using Node.js backend technology
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Strong understanding of Node.js and related frameworks such as Express.js
- Experience in designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Working knowledge of established software design patterns, efficient data structures, multi-threaded system design, inter-process communication, memory management and code optimization
- Good grasp on REST API concepts
- Quick learner and technical problem-solving capabilities
