As our Staff Engineer (Back End), you'll be responsible for integration with third party systems to facilitate delivery of new features based on core platform capability, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for contributing to reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases. You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Technical Design and Development:
1. Collaborate closely with Engineers to devise the best technical strategies and execute enhancements.
2. Own the delivery of timelines, ensuring high-quality results.
3. Establish software development best practices and encourage team adoption.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
1. Work with non-technical stakeholders (Product Managers, Designers, Marketing, Operations) to align on business objectives.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Mentoring and Leadership:
1. Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support.
2. Foster a culture of excellence and problem-solving within the team.
4. Software Availability and Enhancement:
1. Ensure functional availability and enhance products based on requirements.
2. Manage cloud-based services, web applications, and RESTful web services.
5. Engineering Excellence:
1. Own the engineering excellence and operational readiness of services, meeting SLAs and SLOs.
2. Drive service quality, security, scalability, and other performance aspects.
3. Dive deep into issues, providing both reactive and long-term solutions.
6. Support and Mentorship:
1. Assist other Support Engineers on complex RCA issues.
2. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to fellow engineers.
3. Offer L3 engineering support.

Job Requirements

1. Design and Architecture:
1. Strong experience in designing highly scalable and available products.
2. Proficiency in the full SDLC, from analysis to post-production support.
2. Server Side Frameworks:
1. Strong proficiency in Java/Spring Boot framework
3. Database Knowledge:
1. Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
2. Preferred experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack).
4. Messaging Systems:
1. Well versed with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
5. Multi-Tasking and Independence:
1. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
2. Willingness to support off-hours.
6. Code Quality and Documentation:
1. Program at a system level and maintain scalable, extensible code.
2. Methodical in keeping documentation up to date.
7. Quality and Clean Coding:
1. Metric-driven mindset and a commitment to clean coding practices.
2. Experience with language specific test cases
8. Product Development:
1. Preferred experience in product development.
9. Microservices and Front-End:
1. Preferred 8+ years experience with microservices platforms.
2. Proficiency in at least one modern web front-end development framework, to reverse-engineer issues when needed (e.g ReactJS) is a bonus.
10. Third Party Integrations:
1. Proficiency of different communication protocols (HTTP(S), TCP, FTP etc.), able to read through different data transfer protocols like SOAP or JSON.
2. Basic knowledge of various authentication and authorization mechanisms to easen the third party integration process
