Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the Acute Care Data Lakehouse.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and develop product specifications.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and guide the development team throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with engineers and architects to design, build, and deploy data products within the Acute Care Data Lakehouse.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success and impact of the data platform.
  • Analyze user feedback, market trends, and industry insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in data management technologies, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role in the healthcare or data management industry.
  • 4+ years of Strong expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, and data processing technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Strategy – Building Data Products, Cataloguing, Data-Governance
  • Strong knowledge of Data Security – Data in rest and in transit
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly in product development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations, such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies relevant to data management, such as SQL, AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Databricks

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification in product management (e.g., CSPO) or relevant field.
  • Experience working with Acute Care data systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics, machine learning, or AI technologies within healthcare
  • Previous exposure to building and managing data lakehouse architectures.
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and protocols.
  • Ability to develop organization-wide data strategies and governance.
  • Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Fabric architectures and tenants is considered a valuable skillset.
