Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and distributed systems, ensuring they meet the demands of millions of consumers globally.
• Drive Technical Strategy: Collaborate with engineering leadership to define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and strategies.
• Deliver at Scale: Take ownership of critical services across multiple microservices, leading the delivery of features and projects while ensuring timelines, quality, and performance metrics are consistently met.
• Mentorship and Development: Act as a mentor and coach to other engineers, fostering growth within the team and across the organization. Provide technical direction and promote a culture of learning and innovation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to deeply understand business requirements and ensure seamless alignment between engineering and product outcomes.
• Establish Best Practices: Define and drive the adoption of engineering best practices for software development, CI/CD, and DevOps, ensuring that systems are reliable, secure, and maintainable.
• Post-Production Excellence: Lead post-production support processes, ensuring robust monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Over 8 years of pertinent programming experience with GoLang or Node.js, coupled with a demonstrated track record in successfully managing diverse deliveries. 
• Strong design and architectural experience in building various highly-scalable and highly-available products and services (millions of consumers).
• Comprehensive understanding of all SDLC activities, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or hyper-growth environment is highly advantageous.
• Extensive experience with backend technologies, including RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
• In-depth understanding of backend technology stacks, including HTTP protocols, API design, relational and NoSQL databases, Linux systems, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization for backend systems.
• Proficiency in GoLang and Node.js is required. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails (RoR), ReactJS, and other modern frameworks is a strong plus
• Experience working in Scrum Agile delivery environments, with a focus on iterative, incremental development.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS, with a focus on automation and reliability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
