What You Will Do:

  • Develop intuitive User Experiences (UX) and compelling digital user interface (UI) design assets.

  • Develop concepts and rapid prototypes for the purposes of better understanding the product needs, testing hypotheses and the establishment of product requirements (from sketches to UX workflows, wireframes and interactive prototypes, and potentially low fidelity physical models. 

  • translate high-level design concepts into design descriptions and guidelines which can be used to brief the technical R&D teams. Work hand-in-hand with development teams to communicate the design intent and see it through implementation. 

  • Apply research methodologies with input from world-class healthcare professionals, to determine appropriate user experience, ergonomics, function, aesthetics, quality, and safety for our customers.

  • Create impactful concepts, user experiences and digital interactions for hardware and software category-leading surgical visualization and operating room integration products.

  • Participate (and sometimes lead) in all stages of the product development lifecycle.

  • Balance creating the ideal user experience with business goals and time to market.

  • Be an organizational advocate for Design, design process and design thinking.

                   
What You Need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Interaction Design (IxD), User Experience (UX) Design, User Interface (UI) Design, or related discipline.

  • 7+ years of professional experience with a portfolio that demonstrates mastery of the design process, UX/ UI methodologies, and experience from concept through to commercialized product execution. 

  • Competency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Zeplin, Balsamiq etc.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as reading comprehension

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare, medical product development environment or experience in a regulated environment.

  • Familiarity with iterative processes like Agile Scrum and the tools and strategies that make those processes successful.

  • Demonstrated experience of working with software development process.

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with marketing teams, software engineers and other development team members.

Travel Percentage: 10%
